Privacy policy

How Ekulibi collects, uses, and protects your data. Last updated July 2026.

Who we are

Ekulibi is an agricultural finance platform that connects farmers, field officers, and produce buyers (partners). This policy covers the Ekulibi websites, the Ekulibi Farmer and Field Officer mobile apps, and the partner portal.

Data we collect

  • Identity & contact data — name, phone number, email, national ID details, and identity-verification results processed by our verification provider (Didit).
  • Farm & produce data — farm locations, sizes, crops, inspection records, and produce deliveries.
  • Financial data — loan applications, credit assessments, disbursements, wallet balances, and mobile-money account details used for payouts (payments are processed by Paystack; we never store card PINs or mobile-money PINs).
  • Device & usage data — app diagnostics, crash reports, and notification tokens, used to keep the service reliable.

How we use it

We use your data to operate the platform: verifying identity (KYC/KYB), assessing and servicing loans, valuing and settling produce, sending payouts, and notifying you about your account. We do not sell personal data. Aggregated, de-identified data may be used to improve credit models and platform analytics.

Sharing

Data is shared only with the service providers needed to run Ekulibi — identity verification (Didit), payments (Paystack), cloud hosting, and messaging — and with partners strictly to the extent required to fulfil produce deliveries and settlements. We may disclose data where the law requires it.

Retention & security

We keep records for as long as your account is active and as required by financial regulations, then delete or anonymise them. Data is encrypted in transit, access is role-restricted, and every sensitive action is audit-logged.

Your rights

You can access, correct, or export your data, and you can delete your account at any time. To exercise any right, contact hello@ekulibi.com.
